What Is an Interactive Flat-Panel Display?

An Interactive Flat-Panel Display (IFPD) is a Touch enabled large format LED screen which is used for collaborative communication. While normal LED screens give information one-way, Interactive screens also receive and process information. Widely used in Classrooms for teaching, in Conference rooms for presentations and Video meetings, in Training and promotional events, they normally come in sizes 55” upto 98”. There are many useful in built features such as Split screen, Screen recording, White board, Annotation on presentations and Cloud sharing.

How do interactive display working?

Interactive Display works on a glass surface placed over the LED screen, This glass is made multi point touch through IR or capacitive technology. It works as replacement of mouse for cursor and many other functions such as writing and erasing. The point of touch by a finger or a Stylus breaks the infra-red rays, or the capacitive voltage and sends a signal through the processor which detects the movement immediately. Any good interactive display should have very fast processor and minimum lag in writing.

Where to use Interactive Display?

Interactive Displays are fast replacing normal LED displays as they offer 2-way visual information and feedback mechanism. Today Smart classrooms have IFPD to teach students using Multimedia content and all the lectures can easily be recorded or shared over cloud. IFPD are also being used to impart training in Skill centers, Institutes, Defence, Medical and other faculty.
